Usually not a fan of dunks or pink poodles but I think this would do it for me. Whos with me?

Had a last minute trip to Xi’an this weekend. . .12 hour train ride south-east bound and you end up in the interesting city. Train ride isn’t that bad at all as long as you get a bedded room, which consists of  6 bunk beds in each room that you share with others. I arrived in the early morning, checked into the hotel, to then notice the room was relatively tiny so we requested a bigger room for a slight price increase roughly $58.00 total a night for a 4-star hotel. Shortly afterwards we headed

After about 5 cab attempts we finally landed a cab and after some arguing he agreed to take us for $12.00(its about 45mins away). We arrive to our “destination” which was literally house in ruins and he informs us this is the first historical point to which then we can walk to the nearing other 6 points and finally end up at the terracotta warriors all within “walking distance”. Feeling kinda odd about the situation we argue even more to just take us directly to the warriors and we’ll see the other points of interest given time. He didn’t seem to happy although we mentioned where we were headed from the start. Finally he decides to take us this “walking distance” location which was roughly 15-20mins away by car. . .We finally arrive to the main entrance of our destination and he requests more money because he feels “cheated”. . .yea. . .

Once inside in the tombs it really is quite amazing, more so the fact that this was recently discovered in 1974 and is still being excavated. There are 3 pits all incredible Pit 1 being the most excavated, Pit 2 is in the process, and Pit 3 was raided and damaged 5 years shortly after the emperors death so there isn’t much to see but this was the command pit of the three.

Overall the experience was pleasant once we were in the tomb. Oh and this is how the emperor rolled. . .

This cat is awesome. He hangs around my apartment complex, at first I thought he seemed pretty lonesome, but little did I know how much he is loved by everyone. I now know for sure he receives a great deal of attention as someone is usually always playing with him, wether I’m leaving to work or coming home at 4am on the weekends. He lounges as he pleases and sleeps where he pleases. What it is to be a cat ~_~

Awhile back Panasonic developed new alkaline batteries called EVOLTA that last 1.2-1.3 times longer than the existing batteries. To put them to the test they created a EVOLTA robot, which is a cute astroboy rip off that scaled a 500m cliff in the grand canyon cliff by rope. After a gruesome 6 hours and 45 mins he made it! Now he is back entering the Le Mans race hoping to break another Guinness record of longest distance traveled by a bot. He comes now with his own personal bike, Go EVOLTA!
